Review of the Bike Habitat from Marcus M.

I like this bike shop for many reasons. It is jam packed full of good stuff. Sidi, Fox, Park tools. As a seasoned and choosy consumer I think the owner, Dennis Coyne, has made the best use of his limited space. I think if you lined up all 3 Carson City Bike shops, they would all come out to be about the same square footage. Furthermore, Dennis is an expert mechanic. Prior to having my bikes in Dennis’s shop, I considered myself an expert mechanic. Dennis is on a different level. Both of my bikes are dialed in and have stayed that way since my last tune up months ago. I wouldn’t say it’s a got a lot of trendy stuff, but if you walk in there you feel comfortable, and you get what you want, not what the staff wants to sell you. Definitely worth checking out. Oh yeah, they have Giant, Fuji and Kona. I am working on getting Dennis to carry my favorite bike flavor, “Marin”. We will see!

I was up to Bike Habitat this weekend and the staff was very helpful. No elitist attitudes or pressure to spend money. Very nice.
